Summary

Summary: Summaries, written in Arabic and English, must be of equivalent meaning, taking into consideration that each summary word count must range from (150-250) words. It must also be ensured that the wording is accurate and correct, paying attention to the correct use of punctuation marks within paragraphs. Abstracts that are linguistically weak negatively affect approving the research for publication within the specified date.

Summary Format: (Font Type: Simplified Arabic – Font Size: 14 for headings, 12 for paragraphs,  1.5 cm for indentation, 1.5 cm for after space). The abstract must contain the following subheadings:

Paragraph Format: Follow this format for paragraphs under headings. Document references at the end of the paragraph (with the author’s last name, year). Documenting an English language reference goes as follows (Last Name, Year). Arabic Language: (Font Type: Simplified Arabic – Font Size: 14 for headings, 12 for paragraphs). English Language (Font Type: Times New Roman – Font Size: 14 for headings, 12 for paragraphs, 0.5 for paragraph indentation, 1 for paragraph spacing).

References List

The references list should be alphabetically ordered at the end of the research paper. If the researcher uses sources in both Arabic and English, two separate reference lists must be provided, with Arabic references first, followed by English references.  If English references are not available, the Arabic references should be translated and attached at the end of the paper.

The journal follows the APA citation style. Instructions for APA formatting are as follows: (Arabic: Font type: Simplified Arabic, Font Size 12. English: Font type: Times New Roman, Font Size 12.)

Steps Required for Publication:

  • Receiving the scientific research submitted to the magazine.
  • Initial review of the research and of its competence to the publication terms of the magazine.
  • Notifying the researcher with the result of the initial decision within three days of receiving the research.
  • Paying the publication fees (in case that the research is accepted for peer review and publication).
  • The submitted research is sent to reviewers, specialized in the research field. Reviewers are confidentially chosen by the editorial board. The magazine has the right to request any modifications to the research according to the reviewers’ opinions before the research is approved for publication.
  • Notifying the researcher of the reviewers’ final decision.
  • Before the research is finally published, the researcher shall implement the modifications/notes, if any, according to the reviewers’ decision within a maximum one week of receiving the modifications.
  • The magazine shall issue the approval certificate for publishing the research.
  • Research gets published in the magazine’s next issue.

Publication Terms:

  1. The research should be original, offer new vision in subject and presentation, and adopt a robust scientific methodology.
  2. The researcher should consider using correct language and style.
  3. The research must not be previously published or submitted for publication in another entity.
  4. Our academic magazine publishes authentic research, in which the quotation ratio does not exceed 20%.
  5. The research should be between a maximum 30 pages and a minimum 15 pages.
  6. The research must completely include the required elements.
  7. The research must meet the research format used in the magazine.
  8. The documentation of references must be accurate and correct, and according to the APA referencing.

The Research Elements:

In order to be initially accepted for publishing in our academic magazine, the research should represent a scientific addition in its field and contribute to the societal and scientific development. The research also should include the following basic elements:

  1. The research title (in both English and Arabic)
  2. The author’s name, or the authors’ names arranged according to every author’s contribution in the research.
  3. The affiliation information of the author(s) (the scientific degree, academic title or professional title –  specialization – education or employment entity – city – country – contact information).
  4. The abstract (150-250 words in both English and Arabic).
  5. The keywords (3-7 keywords in both English and Arabic).
  6. The introduction (including the research problem, questions, importance, and objectives).
  7. The research body (the study limitations – conceptual and practical terminology – theoretical framework – literature review).
  8. The research conclusions.
  9. The discussion of conclusions.
  10. Recommendations and suggestions.

The Research Format:

  • The File Type: the research file should be a Microsoft Word file in doc. or docx. format. It should not be locked or secured with a password.
  • The Research Pages: the research should be in single pages, not in columns embedded in the same page.
  • Headings and Sub-headings: The headings and sub-headings should be arranged in consecutive sequential order.
  • Number of Pages: the research should not exceed 30 pages and should be no less than 15 pages.
  • Font: (Arabic Font Type: Simplified Arabic – Font Size: 14 for headings and 12 for paragraphs). (English Font Type: Times New Roman – Font Size: 14 for headings and 12 for paragraphs).
  • Page Numbering: The research pages should be numbered, starting from the title page at no. 1.
  • Language: The research should be linguistically correct, with no errors or misspellings.
  • References: The magazine adopts the APA system for scientific documentation in the research body and the reference list. Numbering references within the body is not accepted. In cases of Islamic and legal research, briefing footnotes, Hadiths, and their Isnad are written at the bottom of the page and numbered in ascending order.
  • Quranic Verses: Verses are written according to the format of Mushaf Al-Madinah in a regular (not bold) size 10 font, followed by the surah’s name and the verse number between brackets.
  • Tables, Figures, and Images: Tables, figures, and images are arranged within the research in consecutive sequential order.
  • Mathematical Equations: A unified model should be followed in writing mathematical equations within the research body.
